Catherine Harper

Catherine Harper is the oldest daughter of Mike and Mary Ann Harper. Catherine has grown up around the family feedlot business her whole life and knew that running the family operation is what she wanted to do for a living.

Catherine graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2019. She double majored in Animal Science and Agricultural Business. Catherine always had the intent of going back to the family business as the fourth generation, and that is just what she is doing. She is currently the manager of Harper Feeders and works closely with her dad on the daily operations side as well as her mom who does all the accounting and book keeping for the feedlot. In her time at the feedlot, Catherine has developed many relationships with producers, industry leaders and countless other individuals. Catherine hopes that with these relationships she will be able to educate as many people as possible about lamb and the sheep industry in general.

Over the last couple of years, Catherine realized she truly enjoys the marketing side of things. It got her thinking about the accessibility to American Lamb and even more so, Colorado Lamb throughout the United States. This brought up the idea of an online lamb sales business. Catherine created Harper Family Lamb to hopefully be able to offer Colorado lamb in many different forms, to all lamb lovers as well as newcomers interested in trying lamb. She believes there is so much you can do with lamb and wants to be a small part of getting people talking about lamb again on a larger scale.
