Mike Harper

Mike is a third-generation lamb feeder who currently owns and operates Harper Feeders LLC with his wife Mary Ann and three daughters Catherine, Emily and Madeline. Harper Feeders is a sheep and cattle feedlot with a one-time capacity of 65,000 head of lambs and 3,000 head of cattle. The family is able to run 2.5 times the capacity through the feedlot on an annual basis. The Harper family has many long-standing working relations with producers that supply inventory to the feedlot.

Mike has been very involved in the industry over his many years in the business. Mike has served on the following boards and associations: American Sheep Industry Association, Lamb Council, Colorado Sheep and Wool Authority, National Lamb Feeders Association as well as been a past president of the Colorado Wool Growers Association.

Mike is passionate about the sheep industry and hopes that the opportunities yet to come will allow for growth within his own business as well as the sheep industry as a whole.
